I worked at a small facility in DeRidder, LA. We only had 30-40 deliveries a month. Overall it was a nice experience. It did not offer very much for housing. We were in a hotel for the first 2wks. After that we were placed in an apartment, of our choosing, about 25mins from my assignment. It was not the best housing(they usually give top notch housing), but it was a safe neighborhood, and and newly renovated. It did not offer the usual fitness center/business center, but it was fully furnished, 2BR. This was good for a rural town, I guess. My recruiter was Tanya Roeder.

Overall good. However, my recruiter had a habit of calling me weekly, while I was sleeping (I worked night shift and they knew that).

Feel that Aureus is giving me a raw deal. Have been traveling as a L&D nurse for 4+ years. This is my first assignment with Aureus and am disappointed in how I have been treated. My recruiter is OK (Chad) but I feel the agency is making a bundle off me, without giving me housing, mileage, etc.

Aureus is better pay,is much more organised,. There were in every other Avance that I applied before, one person who unnecessary disturbed me,Trustaff had Rachel for example. Aureus has no one like that ,it is about business,no unnessary calls. Tim and Natalie are great to work with, they answer my question, support yet no one in Aureus disturb. Pay is good, organised work,I enjoy working with Aureus so far.

I was assigned to work as a floating traveler. BIG mistake. I mean HUGE HUGE mistake. I worked for a designated level 1 trauma facility in central Texas that had all the greatest technology in the world, but a shoddily runn nursing sector...at least as far as continuity of care or passing off of assigned patients. Each floor was like its' own country, no continuity of paperwork between floors and no face-to-face or even taped hand-off of patients. I spent the first hour and a half each night gathering/looking for my patient information and then 4 hours into a shift, they sent me to another floor and I had to start the process all over again! Getting further and further behind.

Horrible and rude recruiter communication, errors in pay and insurance coverage. Felt like a money making number only. Not as personable as they should be, considering we are their bread and butter!

On prior assignments with the company I had a different recruiter. She was G-R-E-A-T!! Then just before the beginning of this assignment I was passed to a new recruiter. My prior recruiter was promoted within the company. The new recruiter was "an airhead" I liked her as a person, but she didn't have it together like the previous one. I had just completed a seven month assignmentwith Medical Solutions and received an excellent evaluation from the facility. I interviewed and got me an assignment (full-time) in research that turned out not to be full-time. In order to get full-time this recruiter expected me to find a place in the facility to obtain the remainder of the hours on my own. I did this but I had to let the research position go and do my full-time hours in Pediatrics. I had pediatric experience and enjoyed the work very much. The manager of the pediatric dept gave me a good eval as far as skills but stated "She would not hire me again as a traveler." I think she felt that I was thrown at her because the facility had signed my contract for full-time hours and peds is where I could find them. My next assignment was in Nebraska in a pediatric dept. The assignment was terminated within a month. I will stand by my certainty til the day I die was not for a good reason. There was no harm to a patient and no breakdown in my following of the facility protocols. This company did nothing to show any support. They said "that's the nature of the business" and then they went so far as to terminate my employment with them. I believe it was because I challenged them regarding the non-support or offering me another position. I liked working for Medical Solutions when I was with the first recruiter (whom by the way had been trying to get me to work for the company for 2+ years), but when I was assigned to the new recruiter, things went downhill. My advice to others is to find a travel company that has a heart and backbone enough to support its employee rather then have the fear of "loosing a contract" with a facility. Be an employee and not just someone that the recruiter makes a commission off of. My self esteem was totally destroyed. I have continued to be a travel nurse since this time and have had some good and some not so good experiences since that time, but I've not been treated like "just a body" ever again. I am an excellent nurse and love my profession.

I was on a contract at a teaching hospital in Tucson. **Because I'm a good person, I'll not name the institution.** I was only able to complete half of the contract due to what I will term "The Charge Nurses From Hell." They would give the travelers the worst (heaviest) assignments and then when you would be "circling the drain", and ask for help they looked at you like you crawled out from under a rock. I don't ask for help very often and I'm not the best at delagation when I travel due to trust issues. But when the Charge Nurse is just sitting at the desk visiting with another Charge Nurse from another part of the same unit they should be willing to help. This type of issue did not happen just with myself, but with other travelers from different companies that were on contract at the same time. My thought is don't bring traveler's in if you can't treat them in a good way. Don't waste my time or yours if the intention is to use us as fodder. My recruiter with this company is "the B-E-S-T that there is in the industry in my opinion. Even though this contract was excruitatingly painful and hurtful for me I would refer anyone interested in travel nursing to work for RTG Medical. This was a problem with the facility, NOT the travel company. My recruiter has remained supportive and stayed in contact with me even though I have since moved on. The company I'm currently working for is a large one and my time with them has been another nightmare. The contracts have been successful, but the recruiters are as dumb as "foxes" and try to pull the wool over your eyes on a routine basis. Good thing I got my feet wet with a wonderful company like RTG and know how to catch my current company in the attempts to pull stuff. My current contract is due to be over soon and believe me, "I'm headed back to the "best" recruiter and RTG Medical

This is my first travel experience. My recruiter is awesome, he answers all questions and follows up with me frequently. I am 5 weeks into a 13 week assignment in Invasive radiology. The facility is great and so are the people I work with.

My recruiter is wonderful. He is patient and explains everything thorougly. He always follows-up quickly and I can always get ahold of him. This is my first assignment and unfortunately while here in West Virginia my sister passed away. I had to rush home, and immediately Doug asked me what he could do. He took care of contacting the hospital to make sure I got paid, since I was unable to fax my time sheet. He sent flowers to the service on behalf of Medical Solutions. He offered his personal sympathy to me as well. When I returned to WV, there was an electric foot massager waiting for me from the company. It was for getting my first assignment. But I--ll tell you...it helped with all the stress I--ve been under with my loss. My contract is almost up here, and Doug is working diligently trying to find my next assignment. He--s contacting the hospitals daily and then touches base with me. I feel as though I have picked the best Travel Agency to work for. They truly appreciate their nurses and do whatever they can to help while traveling. You can tell that they don--t show up to do a job, they really go above and beyond. The really care. I am so lucky to have found Medical Solutions and I believe I will be working with them for a long time.

My career consultant (Gigi) is wonderful. I--m always in touch with her either by phone or e-mail. She always has the answer or will get back to me with the information I need. My pay has always been on time and correct. My first week of work they checked on me 3-4 times to make sure I was ok and even now if I don--t communicate with them in 3 or four days they will check on me to see if I--m ok or need anything. My career consultant makes me feel like I--m the only traveler they have---pretty cool! Anyway I would not sign with anyone else.

I completed 3 assignments with Cross crty, and my assignment in Az was not good, staffing as nurse to pt ratio was 1-6, Cross ctry did nothing when situations were not good, Marjorie was much unhelpfull and laughed when i complained, was like pulling teeth to get my completion bonus, they are only out for themselves, i had 3 assignments with them, and they really did not care when hosp situations were difficult,Tuscon Medical Center is a place to run from, but i will again, travel not with CCT!!! thanks for all your input on staffing agencys like INTELLSTAFF. we can all be helpful to each other, we are trained porofessionals and need each others support!!!!

the agency offered housing - but I secured my own. They did not offer reimbursement for renewal of BLS CPR. They state they do offer free CEU's but I have not yet utilized their services as mine are currently up to date. My recruiter (Dionne) is excellent. She is excellent about returning calls and follow up of any questions/concerns I have.

I have a wonderful recruiter, Tina. Although, I feel sometimes she is pressured by people above her to attempt to "force" me into assignments I don--t really care for. For the most part, I have been with this company for 2 1/2 years, and have been pleased. They find good housing, but it is deducted from your check. They do not include cars or flights, but good about finding places close to hospitals. The only problem I have, is it seems that I never know where I might be going on the "next assignment" until the one I am working is almost over. I would prefer to have things planned out. Ans sometimes I have been asked to call the hospital, to speak with managers for the agency. I do not feel this is my job. I feel that my recruiter gets paid to do this for me. Since I have been traveling, I have remained with Advantage RN, and the same recruiter. I have been thinking about not traveling anymore lately. But would recomend Tina to anyone. She has been great.

It was a 8 week assignment I had to stay in a very tiny extended stay hotel for the entire time. No health insurance until after 1 month. I recently acccepted another assignment with them then I found out I would have another month wait for health insurance. They also did not offer me a resigning bonus which I think a loyalty bonus would have been nice. Both assignments do not pay very well either I have been treated much better by other companies in the past. I feel like the company will be making good money from my labor and that I am being taken advantage of financially. I also feel the least they could do is waive the 30 day wait for health insurance as I already waited 30 days already on my previous assignment and signed a new contract for my next assignment within 2 weeks.I also hope to God I do not have to be in an extended stay again for 13 weeks. They say they only pay $75 for utilities.

This was my first travel assignment. The agency was great. It was an EPIC conversion project(3 weeks)that the hospital was woefully unprepared for. Many surprises from the hospital. I was well cared for by my agency, delivered on everything they promised. Am taking another assignment with them.
