Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Specialist in San Antonio, TX. This role involves providing specialized respiratory therapy and patient care in a Level 4 NICU environment, supporting critically ill neonates with a variety of therapies and procedures essential for infant stabilization and recovery.
Job Details
- Position: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Respiratory Therapist
- Location: San Antonio, TX
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: CRT or RRT certification, Texas RCP license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, minimum 0 years of experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PICU or Level 3/Level 4 NICU preferred
- Responsibilities include: administering nebulizer therapy, airway clearance, ventilator management, HFNC, bronch assist, ABG analysis, and operation of medical equipment such as Servo U ventilator with NAVA, Avea Ventilator, V60 noninvasive ventilator, Vapotherm, and Redbox IPV.
- Typical patient ratio: 30-40 units of therapy per shift.
- Candidates must be team players, flexible, and able to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Candidates must have the ability to work at least 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
- Submit relevant certifications and licenses along with employment application.
