Job Summary
Pediatric Psychology in Bangor, ME This inpatient facility is seeking a pediatric psychologist to join their team for a temporary assignment. The position involves providing care to adolescent and pediatric patients, with a focus on mental health conditions such as autism, self-mutilation, depression, and trauma, among others.

Job Details

• Location: Bangor, ME
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: No minimum years of experience specified, but at least 1 year of inpatient psych experience is preferred. Must possess BLS certification, Maine CNA license, and be comfortable with redirection and deescalation techniques.
• Additional Qualifications: Willingness to float between adult and pediatric units as needed; experience working with adolescents and children with autism, self-harm, or psychiatric diagnoses.
• Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, rounding every 7.5 minutes, acting as a 1:1 sitter, participating in physical holds using the least restrictive measures, obtaining EKGs if needed, and supporting a therapeutic environment.
• The orientation period involves facility and unit-specific training, with a supportive management team available for issue resolution.
• During this assignment, candidates will work every other weekend and be expected to work holidays in rotation.
• Shift times: 0700-1900 and 1900-0700, with a modified self-scheduling system for shifts.
