Job Summary
The organization is seeking an Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) in a rural critical access facility. The position involves providing direct patient care within the ER, managing a variety of acute and chronic conditions, including trauma, geriatric care, and post-surgical rehabilitation. The role supports a team-based approach utilizing team nursing for efficient and comprehensive patient care.
Job Details
- Certifications and Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required; RN license required; minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, 0645-1915 and 1845-0715, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Providing care for patients with diagnoses such as dementia, stroke, diabetes, COVID, wounds, and trauma; administering IV medications, fluids, and blood products; interpreting patient strips; managing respiratory equipment; and supporting geriatric and post-acute care populations.
- Patient Ratios and Support Staff: 1:8 nurse-to-patient ratio; support from nurse aides/CNA and patient care techs on each shift.
- Additional Information: Charge nurses facilitate team assignments; shifts include every other weekend and holiday coverage; RTO of 7 days or less upfront; no call or standby requirements.
