Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Cardiac Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Cardiac Floor nurses are needed for a facility located in Fargo. This role involves providing care in a 32-bed unit with a focus on assessments, medication administration, and documentation. The position requires flexibility to float across various units within the facility, including med/surg units at multiple Fargo locations, and may involve working day or night shifts on a rotating schedule.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday, with rotation between days and nights based on unit needs. Self-scheduling is encouraged, with guaranteed days off outlined in the contract.
• Required Qualifications: Active ND (North Dakota) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, at least 2 years of recent medical-surgical (MS) nursing experience in a large hospital setting, BLS certification (American Heart Association), NIHSS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start, and minimum of 1 year experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac experience highly preferred, experience with Epic electronic medical record system, familiarity with Omnicell and Alaris IV pumps, experience assessing, documenting, and completing nursing tasks including medication administration.
• Responsibilities: Performing assessments, documentation, medication administration, and completing nursing procedures. Adapting to different units as needed, with an emphasis on cardiac care.
• Additional Information: Must badge in and out at the facility, wear navy blue scrubs, and be willing to float to all units in the Fargo medical centers. Candidates with prior employment at the healthcare provider must have an end date at least 6 months before submission.
