Respiratory Therapist / Long Term Acute Care

Job Description

Job Summary
Long Term Acute Care Respiratory Therapist in a night shift role. The Respiratory Therapist is a registered or certified health care professional responsible for delivering Cardiopulmonary services based on established protocols and department policies. The role involves providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients, including invasive and non-invasive procedures, ventilator management, arterial line insertion, and blood gas analysis.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT or CRT), current Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Respiratory Therapist license, American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications, at least 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience with intubation experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified
  • Float: Not required
  • Additional Information: Must follow protocols approved by medical staff and department policies. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas, maintaining airways, ventilator management, insertion of arterial lines, intubations, pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gases. Candidate must be available for the start date of 10/05/2026 and the assignment runs through 01/04/2027.
