Operating Room Tech / Endoscopy Lab

Job Description

Job Summary:
Endoscopy Laboratory Technician in a healthcare facility. This role involves supporting endoscopy procedures while ensuring patient safety and compliance with operational standards. The position requires a commitment to delivering quality care in a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. BLS (Basic Life Support) American Red Cross Basic Life Support or equivalent, SGNA GI Tech Specialist or SGNA GI Tech Specialist - Provisional (90 Days) within 90 days, and successful completion of 2-day system endoscopy education within 30 days of hire. Successful completion of on-the-job training with documentation of orientation and all competencies met as determined by the facility. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with other healthcare providers in the provision of patient care. Competency in all aspects of GI procedures, patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection. Ability to delegate, multi-task, function under stress or in emergent situations, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Computer skills may be required. Emergency call coverage may be required depending on the facility.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in all general GI procedures.
