Registered Nurse / Correctional / Prison Facility

Job Summary:
Correctional Nursing (RN) Los Padrinos Juvenile Court Health Services in Los Angeles County. This 16-week assignment involves providing nursing care within a juvenile correctional facility, with shifts scheduled during evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position requires a dedicated RN capable of working in a secured forensic environment and adhering to correctional healthcare protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts; 8 hours per shift; 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active RN license; at least 2 years of experience in correctional or prison facility nursing; minimum of 1 year correctional RN experience; experience working with juvenile inmates preferred; comfortable working in a secured forensic/correctional environment; interacting with law enforcement personnel; current BLS certification; valid LA City Fire & Life Safety Card (must be LA City approved); ability to obtain LA County Employee Health Clearance; minimum of 0 years of experience beyond the specified correctional setting; background in correctional/prison facility nursing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Juvenile correctional experience.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be fully committed to the entire 16-week assignment. Time-off requests are subject to approval by the Nurse Manager and are not guaranteed. Extended time off or holiday time off cannot be pre-approved during the assignment period.
