Registered Nurse / Pediatric Float

Job Summary:
Pediatric Float RN position available in Prescott Valley, Arizona. This role involves providing specialized nursing care on a mixed unit accommodating both adult and pediatric patients. The position requires flexibility to float between units and manage varying patient ratios, with a focus on caring for pediatric and adult patients across different acuity levels.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state nursing license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Experience working with children is required, alongside the ability to care for adult patients. A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior float experience in pediatric and adult acute care settings. Strong clinical skills and adaptability.
• Float: Float to the medical-surgical and pediatric units, including emergency care and birthing units if applicable.
• Additional Information: The RN must pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. Candidates must comply with the radius rule of 50 miles and cannot have been full-time, part-time, or PRN with affiliated facilities within the past year. The unit handles a variety of diagnoses, including respiratory illnesses, infections, post-operative care, and chronic conditions. No feeding tubes, trachs, or vents are included.
• Shift Notes: Must work from 11/25 to 11/27, including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. Staff may be required to float to different units based on census needs.
