Registered Nurse / Operating Room Pediatrics Only

Job Summary
Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) specialist in a children`s acute care hospital. This role involves providing surgical support for neonatal, adolescent, infant, and pediatric patients within a busy pediatric surgical unit, with a focus on multiple specialties including neuro, orthopedic, plastics, eyes, GU/GI, ENT, and general surgeries.

• Years of Experience: 2 years required, with 0 years minimum experience
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours weekly, from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with in-house on-call required; guaranteed hours
• Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of OR experience, current BLS and PALS certifications, experience with administration of blood products, intraoperative procedures, and infection control protocols, proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Additional Information: The candidate will work on a variety of surgical cases with interdisciplinary support from respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services. Float to pediatric medical-surgical units may be required, and the team operates 24/7 support with specialized teams for neuro, ortho, and eye cases. No cardiac/vascular/thoracic cases are involved.
• Submission Requirements: Submittals must include verification of certifications and experience. No RTO (time off) requests are permitted after submission or start, and the contract length is fixed.
• Licenses: MO license acceptable without issuance, IL license required at submission, passport or ID-matching permanent residence for compact licenses.
