Registered Nurse / Operating Room Surgery Center

Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse specializing in the Surgical Center located in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves providing immediate and long-term nursing care to patients within the standards of the department, hospital, and regulatory agencies. The nurse will utilize clinical assessments, perform point of care testing, communicate effectively with the healthcare team, and support patient recovery through individualized care and evidence-based practices.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of experience in perioperative or surgical nursing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an operating room or surgical center environment.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role requires the ability to accurately assess patient needs, perform point of care testing, administer medications safely using BMV (Bar Code Medication Verification) scanning, and participate actively in emergency situations and de-briefings. The nurse will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, modify care plans, and support recovery-oriented goals aligned with best practices.
