Operating Room Tech / Nursing Supervisor

Job Summary:

A Nursing Supervisor position is available in Bethpage, New York. This role involves overseeing the daily operations and staff of a healthcare facilitys central sterile services department. The supervisor will ensure compliance with sterilization techniques, policies, and procedures, coordinate activities between departments, and manage instrumentation handling and documentation.

Job Details:

• Location: Bethpage, NY 1001 Oyster Bay Road
• Shift Time: Days, from 01:00 PM to 09:00 PM
• Schedule: 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current Registered Central Supply Technician Certification (CRCST or CSPD) that does not expire during the assignment; 5+ years of relevant experience; leadership or management experience; Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience; ability to lift/carry 25 pounds; manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, lift, and reach for extended periods; effective communication in English (verbally and in writing); ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Additional Information: Supervision of staff and coordination of department operations; ensuring staff adherence to sterilization policies; proper documentation of sterilization activities; liaising between departments; accepting and tagging fast tracks; assigning daily tasks and managing workflow; work involves equipment such as STERIS washers and autoclaves with SynergyTrak systems; scrubs may or may not be provided daily; strict adherence to dress code including covered hair and beard, no jewelry, no nail polish, and wearing proper footwear.
