Job Summary:
Pediatric Medical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position in Aurora, Colorado. This assignment involves working on a dedicated pediatric medical-surgical unit that provides specialized care for children with gastrointestinal and endocrine disorders, bariatric conditions, infections including sepsis, and post-surgical patients. The role requires delivering compassionate, high-quality nursing care in a dynamic inpatient environment scheduled for night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and at least 2 years of pediatric experience in an inpatient setting. Experience with high-flow nasal cannula and chest tube management is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an academic medical center and familiarity with pediatric patients with complex medical needs.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to acute care units, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and campuses within the Denver Metro area, up to 35 miles from the originally assigned facility. Floating may occur within the Denver Metro area and up to 35 miles from the originally assigned facility unless otherwise specified in the assignment confirmation.
- Additional Information: The organization supports respiratory support with available equipment 24/7, including Medfusion IV Pumps, Baxter Sigma IV Pumps, and Kangaroo Feeding Pumps. Behavioral health support is available on every shift. Medical and religious exemptions to seasonal influenza vaccination are permitted.
