Certified Nursing Assistant / Medical Surgical Float Position

Job Description

Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Float Position in Falmouth, Massachusetts. This role involves assisting nursing staff by performing basic care activities essential to patient comfort and personal needs. The position requires supporting clinical operations across a variety of patient care tasks and ensuring compassionate, patient-centered service.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification as a Nurse Assistant, high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, current licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws, minimum of 1 year of experience, physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds, ability to meet all physical and sensory requirements of the role
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information: Assists nurses by performing various basic care activities, including dressing, bathing, feeding, vital signs recording, toileting assistance, transportation, and patient turning. Cleans patient rooms, sterilizes equipment, and prepares food trays. Ensures confidentiality of patient information and adheres to resident rights. Works harmoniously with the team, demonstrates patience and tact, and maintains a cheerful disposition. Handles resident care with a focus on age-appropriate needs and ensures patient safety at all times.
