Operating Room Tech / Endoscopy Lab

Job Summary:
A Senior Endoscopy Technician position is available in an outpatient endoscopy center located in Mission Hills, California. This role involves performing high-level disinfection, assisting with various endoscopic procedures such as upper endoscopies, colonoscopies, biopsies, and other specialized tasks within a fast-paced clinical environment. The position offers an opportunity for a qualified technician to work collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff, with the potential for permanent placement after a 13-week contract.

Job Details:

• Location: Mission Hills, California
• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift (Monday through Friday, 0700-1530) with a minimum of 40 hours per week; no weekends or holidays; no on-call responsibilities
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), certification in either Gastroenterology Nursing Society (SGNA) or Surgical Technician (CST) program completion, and at least 3 years of experience working in an endoscopy center or GI lab. Candidates must be able to perform high-level disinfection of procedural equipment and have experience with a range of endoscopy scopes and procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Olympus processor CV-190, Olympus Light Source CLV-190, Olympus scopes 190s; CO2 insufflator and tanks with regulator; Erbe cautery with electrosurgical unit; HLD scope reprocessing; Epic or ProVation experience.
• Additional Information: The tech will be responsible for assisting with procedures such as biopsies, polypectomy, peg placement, banding, balloon dilation, and Bravo procedures. Familiarity with high-level disinfection procedures, aseptic technique, and processing of various endoscopes is required.
