Job Summary:
The operating room first assistant specializing in open heart procedures is based in Quincy, Illinois. This position involves supporting cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, including open heart cases, requiring specific experience in cardiovascular operating room procedures. The role includes working during weekday days, with potential call responsibilities during nights and weekends.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Days, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with a weekly minimum of 40 hours
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); a minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room first assist with open heart procedures; current license to submit; specific CVOR experience and cardiovascular thoracic open heart experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in working during weekdays, call shifts including overnights and weekends including support for general scrubbing, and familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Additional Information: This role involves supporting cardiac surgeries, including open heart procedures, with a focus on cardiovascular surgery support. The position requires rotating call shifts, including overnight and weekend work, to ensure continuous patient care.
