Electromyography Technician / Electromyography

Job Summary:
Electromyography Technologist (EMGT) Philadelphia, PA. This position involves performing nerve conduction studies and assisting physicians with needle examinations in the neurodiagnostic laboratory and at patients` bedside. The role requires demonstrating technical proficiency, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with medical staff across diverse patient populations, including young adults, adults, and geriatrics.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift with 8 hours per shift and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification or experience in electromyography; knowledge of patient history, anatomy, and technical skills relevant to EMG procedures; ability to assemble and disassemble EMG equipment; proficiency in electrode placement; knowledge of equipment maintenance and cleaning; ability to interpret responses and differentiate between normal and abnormal results; strong computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word); effective communication skills; minimum of 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in nerve conduction studies and bedside needle examinations; ability to teach and precept colleagues and students.
• Additional Information: The candidate will be responsible for assembling monthly statistics, recording responses during testing, and maintaining equipment functionality. The position requires excellent problem-solving skills and the capability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
