Registered Nurse / Geriatric Psychiatric Unit

Job Summary:
Geriatric Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Birmingham, Alabama. This position involves working in a geriatric psychiatric unit with a schedule of 36 hours per week, primarily during night shifts, with a 13-week assignment that includes every other weekend. The role is suitable for professionals with at least two years of experience in psychiatric nursing and additional experience with travel assignments. Candidates must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and experience with electronic medical record systems.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 36 hours per week, Nights shift, with 12-hour shifts, scheduled for 13 weeks.
• Required Qualifications: Two years of experience in psychiatric nursing, BLS certification, experience with electronic medical records systems, and travel nursing experience (at least one contract).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in geriatric psychiatric care and familiarity with Epic electronic health record system.
• Additional Information: The position requires working in a geriatric psychiatric unit, with responsibilities including patient assessment, management, and coordination of care specific to the elderly population.
