Patient Care Assistant / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
Nursing Specialist on the Medical Surgical Floor in Asheville, North Carolina. This position involves providing patient care within a busy medical-surgical unit, with responsibilities including patient safety documentation and supporting patients across various inpatient settings, including high-risk and behavioral health cases.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12 hours shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; experience in behavioral health; flexible and kind personality traits.
• Preferred Qualifications: Behavioral health background.
• Schedule: Dayshift with 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Assigned to 1:1 sitter cases involving high-risk patients, including suicidal, homicidal, and substance abuse cases. May be assigned to emergency room or inpatient units, including women and children`s units. Frequent patient safety documentation and participation in pre-shift huddles at 0645 and 1845 on the 3rd floor.
