Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Cardio Thoracic

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Cardio Thoracic (CT) San Antonio, TX. This position involves supporting cardiovascular ICU cases, with an emphasis on advanced cardiac support procedures. Qualified candidates will have experience in critical care settings, particularly related to cardiac patient management.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Texas RN license, two or more years of ICU experience, ACLS certification, BLS certification, and NIHSS certification. Candidates must have experience with hemodynamic monitoring (Swan and arterial lines), ventilator management, and possess strong critical thinking skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and Meditech charting/order entry.
• Additional Information: All travelers are required to float; familiarity with Methodist Hospitals floating policy is preferred. Documentation system used is Meditech. Responsibilities include post-CABG, post-VAD, and post-cardiac catheterization patient care involving various cardiac support devices such as IABP, Impella, and ECMO.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, commencing on 09/07/2026.
