Registered Nurse / Pre Op Registered Nurses

Job Summary
Pre-Operative (Pre Op) Registered Nurse (RN) Wichita, Kansas. This position involves providing specialized pre-operative care within a busy surgical unit. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the pre-operative process.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS & ACLS required. Candidates with prior preoperative experience or familiarity with Meditech are preferred.
• Education Requirements: Active RN license.
• Location Requirements: Candidates must have a minimum of 1-year current acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience.
• Experience Requirements: 1 year of relevant experience in a hospital setting.
• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing pre-operative procedures, assisting with outpatient infusions, EKGs, blood transfusions, and supporting preoperative staff with patient care.
• Typical patient procedures performed include pre-op surgery, endoscopy, cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions.
• On-call requirement involves two 10-hour weekend shifts every 8-9 weekends, with a 30-minute response time while on call.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must meet all required qualifications and be able to start on 11/02/2026, with the assignment ending on 02/01/2027.
