Job Summary:
Endoscopy Technologist (Technician) position available in an outpatient endoscopy laboratory located in Mission Hills, California. This role involves performing and assisting with various endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, biopsies, polypectomy, and other specialized interventions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires a minimum of three years of experience working in an endoscopy center or gastrointestinal laboratory.

Job Details:

  • Location: Mission Hills, California
  • Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday, 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM, with a schedule of 8 hours per shift and a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), SGNA (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates) certification, program completion as a Surgical Technician (CST) or SGNA education, with three years of experience working in an endoscopy center or GI lab; Education: CST certification or SGNA completion; Licenses: CST or SGNA; Location: California; Years of Experience: 3 years in endoscopy or GI lab
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Olympus processor CV-190, Olympus Light Source CLV-190, Olympus scopes 190s; experience with CO2 insufflator and tanks with regulator, Erbe cautery and electrosurgical units, HLD (High-Level Disinfection) scope reprocessing, EPIC and ProVation systems
  • Additional Responsibilities: Assist with biopsies, balloon dilators, room preparation and cleanup, high-level disinfection of procedural equipment, equipment setup including scope and accessories, specimen labeling, and documentation.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant endoscopy experience in an outpatient setting or GI lab
  • Certifications: BLS, SGNA, CST or SGNA education completion
  • Additional Information: Candidates should be accustomed to high-level disinfection procedures, familiar with various endoscopes and accessories, and capable of performing procedures such as polypectomy, biopsy, peg placement, banding, balloon dilation, and Bravo testing.
  • Travel and Floating: Travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
  • Other Details: No weekend or holiday work, no on-call requirement, and a guaranteed minimum of one shift per pay period may be canceled by the facility.
