Job Summary
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) General Medicine Floor Location: Unknown. This position involves providing patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a diverse patient population, including GI Bleeds, COPD, CHF, Diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/Stroke, A-Fib, hypertension, sepsis, and vascular issues. The role requires experienced RNs comfortable with charge responsibilities and potential float duties, supporting a teaching environment with student and new hire interactions.

Job Details

  • Shift: 12-hour days, with start dates on 10/19, 11/2, and 11/16, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: 2 years of relevant experience, certifications, license, and skills checklist. Must have worked in a medical surgical setting before.
  • Schedule: 12-hour days, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on scheduled dates.
  • Additional Information: Prior travel experience is required for all Centra positions. Charge responsibilities may be required, with appropriate pay differential and training. The unit covers ancillary support including lab draws, EKGs, and supply management. All travelers must work at least one major holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and/or New Year`s Day). Cerner experience is preferred. Centra accepts approved declinations for Covid/Flu. The facility is a teaching hospital where team members interact with students and new hires regularly.
