Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) - for a dedicated nursing professional in a hospital setting. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical unit, ensuring adherence to established clinical practices and delivering high-quality patient care across diverse clinical scenarios.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Recent experience in acute care setting required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; recent Cerner charting experience; experience with Med Surg patients with remote telemetry monitoring; at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience required; completion of 2 or more travel assignments preferred; location requirements are not specified; minimum of 0 years of experience.

• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.

  • Monthly department volume: 810 patient encounters

  • Patient ratio: 1:6-7; PCT has 14 patients
  • Blocked scheduling is not approved
  • 48-hour weekly guarantees are not approved

  • Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Medication administration using scanning at bedside.
