Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a short-term, acute care facility. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients in a Level II Trauma Center, with a focus on cardiac drip management and telemetry monitoring. The role requires flexibility to float between units and adherence to clinical protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Certification required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Education and experience requirements: 1 year of nursing experience, current licensure, and at least 1 year working in a healthcare setting. Must have a valid compact state license in hand at submission.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Responsibilities include managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (without titration), interpretation of cardiac rhythms and ABGs, providing patient care for adults and geriatrics, and collaborating within an interdisciplinary team.
• Additional responsibilities include managing patient diagnoses such as acute myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular accidents, and post-cardiac procedures, with competencies in telemetry monitoring, wound care, and administering blood products.
• Candidates must have recent hospital experience, proficiency in Epic electronic charting system, and be capable of managing cardiac drips and telemetry.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Submission Requirements: Two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years, and responses to designated questions regarding prior experience at Providence facilities.
