Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse, Corpus Christi, TX This position involves providing urgent care in a busy emergency department within a 16-bed facility. The role requires delivering compassionate, team-oriented care to low acuity trauma patients and performing assessments, medication administration, wound care, and more.

Job Details

• Position Description: Emergency Room Nurse responsible for patient assessment, documentation, medication administration, wound care, splinting, IV setups, urine collection, lab draws, and care for ESI levels 1 through 5.
• Required Qualifications: ER experience with at least 2 years of emergency department experience, valid certification in TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, BLS, and a minimum of 0 years of experience.
• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as CEN or TCRN, CPI certification.
• Additional Information: Candidates must demonstrate compassion, urgency, and teamwork. Unit policies include mandatory shift huddles at 7am and 7pm, with a focus on timely care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma patients. The department is transitioning from a Level IV to a Level II trauma hospital and values experience with new equipment and technology.
