You will assess telemetry patients, interpret cardiac rhythms, and document care using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. To qualify, you need a current California RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and at least 2 years of recent telemetry experience. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required. Recommended skills include experience with stroke patients, ability to float between medical-surgical and telemetry units, and proficiency with EMR systems.
