Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse specializing in Emergency Medicine is sought for a nights shift assignment at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing urgent care and managing a diverse range of emergency conditions in a fast-paced environment, supporting patient stabilization and treatment.

Job Details

  • Position: ER Nurse in Emergency Room (ER)
  • Location: Not specified (the healthcare provider`s facility)
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse with a valid Kansas or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission, at least 2 years of experience in Emergency Room care, current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Additional Skills: Experience managing abdominal pain, acute psychosis, arterial lines, asthma, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line care, chest tube management, continuous IV paralytics and sedation, cerebrovascular accidents, drug overdose, emergency medications, epiglottitis, managing infectious and traumatic conditions, intubation, PPE and isolation precautions, arterial blood gas interpretation, arrhythmia management, splint application, multisystem organ failure management, violent behavior management, mental health conditions, near drowning, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, orthopedic trauma, phlebotomy, procedural sedation, psychiatric holds, respiratory infections, seizures, sickle cell crisis, skin disorders, IV start and maintenance, stroke certification, and psychiatric patient care.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (must be current and in hand at submission).
  • Experience Requirement: 2 years of ER experience, with a minimum of 1 year overall.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Submittal Requirements: Valid KS or Compact RN license, floating skills, and certifications must be current at the time of submission.
