Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) for a night shift position at a healthcare facility. The role involves floating across multiple medical-surgical units within the hospital, providing patient care in a fast-paced environment, and adhering to established clinical protocols. Candidates must demonstrate adaptability and maintain a high standard of patient care during scheduled hours.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/26/2026
• End Date: 01/23/2027
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), current Texas nurse license or compact license, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, prior travel experience, and proficiency with the Cerner electronic medical record system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior float experience among multiple medical-surgical units, flexibility to meet staffing needs, and familiarity with patient populations aged 18 and above.
• Float: Float to Emergency Room (ER) as needed.
• Additional Information: Orientation sessions are scheduled for 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, and 10/26. Candidates must be flexible to meet the scheduling needs of the unit with no blocked time off approved from 09/19 to 10/17 due to Epic Go Live. Scrubs Navy color required. No block schedule offered; scheduling is made by the unit.
