Registered Nurse / Nursing Supervisor

Job Summary
The organization is seeking an RN Supervisor specializing in Nursing Supervision at a Level I Trauma center Emergency Department. This administrative and operational management role involves overseeing patient care improvement programs, monitoring clinical performance, and collaborating with nurse managers to ensure quality standards. The position requires leadership in trauma center oversight and emergency department management.

Job Details

• Position Description: Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and employee performance. Monitor performance for patient care, assess units with nurse managers, and assist with corrective actions. Develop record-keeping systems to track medication errors and counseling. This role serves as Director of Nursing with oversight of a Level I Trauma center Emergency Department.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing Program, RN Licensure with primary source verification from the NYS Department of Education (NYSED), BLS certification, seven (7) years of nursing experience including five (5) years in a supervisory role, with emergency room experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in Nursing.
• Schedule: Days shift; 7.5 hours per day with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role entails supervising emergency department operations, medication error tracking, counseling, trauma center oversight, and emergency department management. Candidates must have emergency room experience and previous director of nursing experience. Submission of relevant licensure verification and certification documentation is required.
