Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse L&D Department, located at the healthcare provider`s facility. This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery setting, utilizing evidence-based practices. The position requires coordination with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a hospital environment.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Nursing diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited nursing school, licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, and able to circulate for C-sections and triage for OB.
  • Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN from an accredited nursing school.
  • Additional Information: The unit handles approximately 100-120 births per month, with routine management of conditions such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, placenta previa, and previous C-sections. Monitors fetal health with continuous and intermittent fetal heart monitoring, and maintains staffing standards per AWHONN guidelines. Travelers may float to support Women and Childrens services.
