Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) Location: Portland, OR. This position involves providing high-risk obstetric care within a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, with responsibilities spanning labor, mother-baby, and antepartum units. The role requires flexibility to float between units based on clinical needs, on-call availability, and working rotating 12-hour shifts.
Job Details
- Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- Education Requirements: Valid State License (Compact license must be in hand at submission)
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in labor, delivery, or high-risk obstetrics; 1-year experience preferred
- Location Requirements: Must be within a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours each, minimum of 36 hours per week; shifts starting at either 3 am and 3 pm or 11 am and 11 pm; on-call required on scheduled shifts; every other weekend required
- Responsibilities include assisting with high-risk deliveries, fetal monitoring, sterile speculum exams, administering medications (e.g., magnesium sulfate, Pitocin), neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum care
- Must have a vehicle for travel between multiple locations, including Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent
- Candidates may be required to float between units and facilities to meet the organizations needs.
