Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum at a healthcare organization. The position requires flexibility to float between units and facilities, with a focus on high-risk obstetrics and fetal monitoring.
Job Details
- Position Description: Certified Registered Nurse with experience in Labor and Delivery, capable of floating between units such as postpartum and high-risk antepartum. Must have at least 2 years of experience in the specialty.
- Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate*, BLS, NRP.
- Education Requirements: Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Location Requirements: Valid state license; compact license must be in hand at submission.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of direct experience in labor and delivery nursing.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Orientation hours total 36; schedule may include on-call and every other weekend shifts.
- Additional Responsibilities: Administering blood and blood products, high risk delivery assistance, sterile speculum exams, sterile vaginal exams, fetal monitoring, postpartum care, neonatal resuscitation, and other obstetric procedures.
- ** floated to other units:** Yes, float rotation may be required.
- Submission Requirements: Must include responses to prior experience at Providence facilities, references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years, and confirmation of at least 1 year of experience in the specialty.
