Registered Nurse / Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) healthcare professional position is located in an ambulatory surgical setting within a 440-bed hospital. This role involves working in an outpatient surgical environment with a focus on peri-anesthesia care, supporting a daily caseload of approximately 35 procedures. The position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, primarily scheduled during evening shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evenings, 11:00 AM 9:30 PM or 12:00 PM 10:30 PM; minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications, education requirements, degree, location, and at least 3-4 years of clinical experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Candidate must have EPIC electronic medical record experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience not required; excellent communication skills to support a team-oriented environment and contribute to a culture of support, especially when interacting with students and new hires.
• Additional Information:
  • Must be separated from the organization for at least 6 months to be considered.
  • No request for time off at the time of submission will be approved.
  • Patient population includes ambulatory surgical and procedural cases.
  • The role involves collaborative work with students and new hires, fostering a supportive and educational environment.
