Registered Nurse / Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) specialized registered nurses are needed for a night shift position at a healthcare facility in the region. This assignment involves caring for critically ill neonates and infants, with a focus on high-level NICU care for infants between 23 and 24 weeks gestation. The role requires flexibility to float between campuses and adherence to established clinical procedures associated with neonatal intensive care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 10/19/2026 to 01/18/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license, at least 3 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, minimum of 1 year of experience in Level III NICU or 2 years in Level IV NICU, current BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications, experience with blood and blood products administration, care of central and implanted lines, neonatal feeding tubes, neonatal medication calculations, and ventilator management including CPAP/BiPAP, high frequency vents, oscillators, and vents.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record system and patient ratios familiarity.
• Additional Information:
  • May be assigned as a "sitter" for all units; does not require patient care when assigned as a sitter.
  • No ECMO experience required; other procedures such as cardioversion, cooling/warming blankets, and PICC/Central Lines are part of routine care.
  • Candidates must be open to floating to different campuses within the organization, including Issaquah and Edmonds facilities, and float to Pediatric units when necessary.
  • The assignment includes working three or more consecutive days if preferred, with a requirement to work three of the five holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day).
  • The candidate must have at least 1 year of relevant experience and be eligible for a valid state license with a compact endorsement.
  • The assignment duration runs from October 19, 2026, through January 18, 2027.
