Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) registered nurses are needed for a short-term assignment in a facility located in the region. This role involves providing comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical conditions, including trauma and post-surgical recovery. The position offers a flexible schedule with days shifts, supporting a team-focused environment dedicated to patient-centered care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/26/2026 and ending on 01/25/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license in the state, 5 years of relevant experience, BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, plus CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), and BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I or Level II experience, additional travel experience, and proficiency in Epic electronic charting system.
• Additional Information:
  • Must pass Relias EKG exam with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
  • Clinical responsibilities include blood product administration, IV start and management, wound care, traction, external fixators, oxygen management, and critical trauma assessments including neurotrauma and orthopedic injuries.
  • Open to floating within scope to meet facility needs; may accommodate block schedules but not guaranteed.
  • Open to local candidates within a 75-mile radius, though no local candidates are accepted for this position.
  • Pending license acceptance in the respective state(s); license in hand required at time of submission.
  • Will need to work within the scope of practice, previous ER, OR, or ICU experience preferred.
