Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Medical

Job Summary

ICU Medical Specialist Night Shift Located in the area requiring candidates to be over 75 miles from the facility. This role involves providing advanced intensive care to adult and geriatric patients within a standard 12-hour night shift schedule. The position demands expertise in managing complex patient cases such as sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, and multi-organ failure, with a patient load of 16 beds.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: NY license in hand, minimum of 2 years of ICU medical experience, 1 year of relevant clinical experience, proficiency with Epic charting system, ACLS, BLS certifications, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Willingness to float is required.
• Schedule: Nights, 4 days per week, 12 hours per shift, totaling 48 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Experience with Epic electronic charting is mandatory. The unit services adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, sepsis, and kidney failure. The role includes managing ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, CRRT, ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices. The unit benefits from interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams. The position requires the ability to bill for up to 5 hours on training modules; any additional hours are non-billable.
