Operating Room Tech / Surgical Technician/Operating Rm Tech

Job Summary:
Surgical Technologist specializing in operating room services in a suburban healthcare environment. The position involves providing advanced surgical support in procedures such as total joints, orthopedic spine, neuro, ENT, ophthalmology (vitrectomy), and robotics. This role requires current experience in the operating room, with flexibility for call shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Details:

• Position: Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Technician
• Location: Suburban healthcare facility
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts (7a-7p) with a rotation; no set days off.
• Duration: 13 weeks, with potential extension
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• End Date: 01/16/2027
• Required Qualifications: Current operating room experience; proficiency with procedures including Total Joints, Orthopedic Spine, Neuro, ENT, Ophthalmology (vitrectomy), and robotics; CPR certification; completion of a surgical technician program. Certification is not required.
• Schedule Details: The role includes work call responsibilities, typically 3 to 4 times within an 8-week period, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Additional Information: Previous employment in any capacity within any Johns Hopkins health system facility must be noted on the candidate`s cover sheet and work history for verification purposes. Candidates who are current or former staff, PRN, or temporary employees must have been off for at least one year before reapplying as travelers.
