Registered Nurse / Intermediate Care Unit

Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) will provide patient care within a dynamic clinical environment. This position involves working in a telemetry and step-down unit focusing on cardiac, neuro, and medical-surgical patients. The role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and adherence to established protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• End Date: 03/06/2027
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience as a registered nurse with active licensure, prior charge nurse experience preferred, certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), licensed or license eligible in the applicable state, and willingness to work in a teaching hospital environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system, familiarity with VA or Compact licenses, and experience with neuro and CVA patient populations.
• Additional Information: Travel is required for this assignment, and a minimum of 2 years of work experience is necessary. Orientation dates are scheduled every other Monday, unless otherwise posted. The unit has a variable schedule regarding weekend shifts, and limited RTO is available. Applicants must submit work history demonstrating at least 2 years of clinical experience, explain any work gaps exceeding 90 days, include skills checklist, and provide copies of licensure. The client can cancel up to 36 hours prior to the scheduled shift due to census changes.
