Registered Nurse / Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare organizations pediatric critical care department. This role involves providing family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents, with the flexibility to float between multiple hospital locations as needed. The position offers rotating shifts, including days and nights, with a schedule designed to meet operational needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing; Minnesota RN license or Minnesota Temporary Permit-RN; BLS certification; PALS certification; 18 months PICU nursing experience, including care for pre-operative and immediate post-operative PICU surgical patients, trauma patients, or 18 months pediatric CVICU nursing experience, including care for pre-operative, immediate post-operative cardiac surgical patients, and pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients.

• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position involves coordinating and providing family-centered nursing care utilizing the nursing process; accountable for professional practice including independent and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other healthcare team members.
