Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) nurse position located at a healthcare facility. The role involves providing care to adult patients on a medical-surgical unit, with a focus on acute care and patient safety. The position is scheduled to start on October 5, 2026, and will run through January 4, 2027, with rotating night shifts.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Compact or Alabama (AL) registered nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Cerner electronic medical record experience preferred, at least 1 year of nursing experience, current home address, and Social Security Number (SSN).
• Preferred Qualifications: Cerner experience is preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other units as needed.
• Additional Information:
  • This is a contractor replacement position for a Medical Surgical Floor nurse.
  • The position requires submission of travelers with current home address and SSN, and candidates must be more than 50 miles from the facility.
  • The specific responsibilities include caring for adult patients with various medical conditions, documenting patient information using Cerner EMR, and adhering to hospital policies.
