Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), located at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care, supervising ancillary staff, and ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes during a 12-hour night shift. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and active participation in patient assessment, education, and discharge planning.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours
• Hours: Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• End Date: 01/04/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification (CIRH only) prior to first shift, minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience. Previous experience in a select medical setting is highly desired.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in the Progressive Care Unit or similar clinical environment.
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, provides patient education, and participates in discharge planning. Maintains accurate documentation and communicates changes in patient status effectively. Delegates tasks appropriately and ensures personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies. Engages in team-building activities to foster a positive work environment and pursues ongoing professional development.
