Registered Nurse / Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a Level 2 trauma teaching hospital. The role involves participating in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). Responsibilities include managing Cath Lab procedures, admissions, recovery, discharges, medication administration, wound care, phlebotomy, EKG monitoring, vital signs, and operating cardiac monitors. The candidate must possess a current NY RN license and have at least two years of Cath Lab procedure experience. Candidates with Cath Lab admission, recovery, discharge experience, and those able to take call are preferred.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid New York State Registered Nurse license, minimum of 2 years Cath Lab procedure experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Cath Lab procedure experience with admission, recovery, and discharge; Cath & Electrophysiology (EP) experience including pre/post procedures; availability to take call
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include participating in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, IV therapy, medication management, triage, wound cleaning, phlebotomy, EKG`s, vital signs, cardiac monitoring, restraints, and cleaning duties. Competency in electronic health records systems such as Cerner is essential.
