Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Specialist - Location: Not specified. This role involves floating within various hospital units, including all ICUs, Progressive Care Units, and Emergency Department holding areas. The position requires providing specialized care for diverse patient types, including Covid patients, neuro, trauma, medical, and surgical cases, across multiple complex conditions.

Job Details

• Position Description: Responsible for clinical interviewing and final approval processes, with a starting date of December 14, 2026. The role involves floating within the healthcare facility to all ICUs, PCUs, CCUs, and ED holding areas, supporting clinical operations and patient care.
• Required Qualifications: One year minimum ICU experience, current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications, and a valid state license.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, at least 36 hours per week, with scheduling typically made for three weeks at a time. Every other weekend work is expected; back-to-back weekends are rare.
• Additional Information: Floating to different specialty units, including Neuro, Trauma, Medical, Cardiac ICU, and other units, may be required. Orientation includes hospital-wide and unit-specific training. Travelers are required to complete and pass telemetry competency prior to start. Must adhere to hospital policies on medication management, documentation, and patient safety protocols.
