Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse position available in a high-volume healthcare facility. This role involves providing high acuity obstetric care to diverse patient populations, including postpartum treatment following delivery and management of high-risk obstetric patients. The assignment offers flexibility in scheduling and is suitable for experienced professionals seeking a dynamic and challenging environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand; at least 2 years of experience in High Risk Obstetric care, Magnesium Sulfate administration, Postpartum hemorrhage, and EPIC electronic health record system proficiency; BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications
• Preferred Qualifications: JADA (Joint Accreditation for Dietetics Education) experience, substance withdrawal management experience
• Float: Float rotation may be required at Issaquah Campus (Postpartum) and Edmonds Campus (Postpartum, Labor and Delivery) for the second hour of recovery
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Expertise in cesarean sections, episiotomy/incision care, fundus/lochia/perineum care, Pitocin (oxytocin), Foley catheter placement, postpartum hemorrhage management, and handling of four-couplet postpartum care is essential
• Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to work at least 2 years in a high acuity obstetric environment with experience handling census surges; must be flexible to work 3 of the 5 major holidays and adhere to specific RTO requests during submission; candidates screened without EPIC experience will not be considered
