Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse, located at a healthcare facility, is responsible for providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. This role involves managing high-risk obstetric patients with diverse needs, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes throughout the birthing process.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Labor and Delivery Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience, familiar with high acuity obstetric care, including postpartum and postpartum hemorrhage management. Must have active BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications.
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP
  • Education Requirements: Not specified, but at least 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Location Requirements: Compact license in hand at submission; facility accepts candidates within a 50-mile radius.
  • Shift Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Deployment Duration: 13 or 26 weeks, travelers choice.
  • Additional Information: Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, Foley catheter management, postpartum care, and EPIC electronic health record system are required. Travel candidates must have recent experience in high-risk obstetric care, including managing a census surge and handling a minimum of four postpartum couples. Candidates must be willing to work three of five major holidays and be flexible with floating between nearby facilities.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses regarding previous employment at a healthcare provider facility, with at least two references covering one year within the last three years.
