Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
Larger metropolitan area - Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty. This position involves providing high-quality care for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, including managing normal pregnancies, postpartum care, and supporting newborns. The role emphasizes patient education, monitoring, and therapeutic interventions in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Larger metropolitan area
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• End Date: 01/18/2027
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D) department, active license in the state or a valid compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRN (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with postpartum care, newborn assessment, and patient discharge teaching.
• Certifications: BLS, NRN
• Skills: Management of labor and delivery, postpartum and neonatal care, use of fetal monitoring, administer blood/blood products, epidural management, postpartum hemorrhage management, newborn thermoregulation and glucose control, instruction on breastfeeding, post-vaginal and Cesarean recovery.
• Additional Information: May float to other units such as NICU or to alternative campuses as needed. Candidates should be prepared to work a schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Reference checks covering at least one year of recent clinical experience are required prior to start.
