Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a hospital setting. This role involves caring for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, including post-partum vaginal or cesarean delivery care, obstetric surgeries, and neonatal management. The position requires clinical expertise in maternal-newborn health and the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience as a nurse in Labor and Delivery, current state license (compact license preferred), BLS (Basic Life Support), NRPN (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification, proficiency with electronic charting systems (Epic experience preferred), and relevant clinical skills including postpartum care, neonatal assessment, infant identification, and management of post-epidural analgesia.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience floating to NICU or other units such as First Hill Campus, experience with GYN surgeries, and obstetric emergencies.
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for patients during normal and high-risk deliveries, assisting with postpartum and neonatal stabilization, and managing special procedures like blood product administration, epidural and PCA pumps, and wound vacs. Flexibility to float to other units such as NICU or L&D is required. Candidates must be available to work weekends and be willing to commit to holiday coverage as specified.
