Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Specialist position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves caring for patients experiencing childbirth, including managing labor, delivery, and postpartum care for both vaginal and cesarean births. The position requires a dedicated professional with experience in obstetric and neonatal care, supporting safe and efficient patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Education Requirements: Valid state license (compact license accepted)
• Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in labor and delivery
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/19/2026 and ending on 04/19/2027
• Responsibilities include blood/blood products administration, epidural pump management, postpartum care, and neonatal thermoregulation
• Clinical skills encompass postpartum and neonatal assessment, postpartum hemorrhage management, pregnancy-induced hypertension, use of PCA (IV), breastfeeding support, and management of complications such as pain, opioids, and postpartum re-admission
• Additional unit support includes GYN surgeries, tubal ligation, circumcision, and care for normal newborns.
• Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience, be able to work day shifts, and meet the staffing needs related to weekend coverage and holiday scheduling.
• References: Two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years are required prior to start.
• Candidates should not contact facility directly unless for scheduled interviews.
• Floating to NICU or L&D, or to other nearby campuses, may be required.
