Operating Room Tech / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nurse in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care for open heart surgical cases, supporting diverse cardiovascular procedures, and working within a fast-paced, trauma-rated environment. The role requires adherence to hospital protocols and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and successful surgical outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment begins on 10/12/2026 and ends on 01/11/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid WA state license for the CVOR technician role, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with general surgery, bowel resection, robotic procedures, gynecology, urology, TURP, cystoscopy, lithotripsy, dental surgeries, and plastics.
• Additional Information: Infection control and adherence to SOPs are essential. Floating to Main OR may be required for vascular cases if applicable. Orientation includes a one-week floor-specific training. Call requirements involve 5-6 call days per week, with after-hours on-call hours starting at 9 PM and ending at 6:30 AM. Weekend call duties include 12-hour days and nights, with call response time of 30 minutes. Holidays are managed via rotation. Scrubbing is required for all cases; tele-surgeon on-call hours are after hours, with 24/7 pharmacy services.
